The FrogS’House is an old village house, built in 1850. About a century later, the house was turned into a hotel. In 2000, the place is totally renovated : each room now has its own « ensuite » bathroom…We bought it in 2006, to turn it into the cosy Bed and Breakfast it is today.
She likes : watching movies, listening to music, acting, dancing, eating, sleeping, swimming, cooking…and nature and the Tropiques !
She doesn’t like : accounting rules 😉
He likes…telling stories, makink his audience laugh, going swimming in the surrounding waterfalls and rock climbing…but also he likes talking about philosophy, leting himself inspired by the wise people from this world…and medidating. He doesn’t like…why losing time talking about what he doesn’t like when finally it’s always a question of perspective and point of view?
« Joy generates courage » Spinoza said…and Confucius to precise : « Joy is in everything, you just have to encounter with it ».
we could add that joy is like a lighthouse that tells you that you’re on the right track…
« There is nothing more beautiful and spiritually higher than looking for the peace of heart. Once it is found, it is like a love balm that brings relief in pain and sorrow and smoothes the torments of human souls. » (Somasekha)
« Be the change you want to see in this world » (Ghandi)
It now seems necessary to us to remain connected to this Peace inside everyone of us, to share it with the largest number, for the good for all.
We want to :
• promote local production
• and organic food
• reduce as much as possible our impact on the environment.
We have the eco-label « green key » and « sustainable turism » for our rooms and activities in a natural setting.
What we enjoy the most is to be able to work with small organic and local producers who contribute to preserve sustainable ways of producing. Taking people around to show them another aspect of the Côte d’Azur, while respecting the environment is a way for us to let people know how beautiful this area and how important it is to preserve it.
We try to respect theses values in our everyday life through small things that at the end could make a difference. We do recycle, use organic soap and biodegradable cleaning products,we try to reduce our power and water consumption. We do not eat or cook much meat anymore, first because the actual ways of mass producing meat are devastating for the environment and also because they play a major role in the unfair distribution of ressources accross the planet. Please do not hesitate to give us ideas to share your experience with us .
