Saint Jeannet is a charming and typical french medieval village, perched at the foot of the mediterranean hills called « Baou ». Only 15kms away from Nice côte d’azur and the French Riviera, but so much more quiet and relaxing. Its position at 450m of altitude offers a great view on the coast and a moderate temperature in the middle of the summer.

You will be happy to find lots of local stores : 4 restaurants, 1 grocery store and 1 butcher, 1 bakery, 2 cafés/pubs, 1 jeweler maker, 1 post office… that makes it very enjoyable to live in as a local, and that pleases a lot our visitors.

Among the restaurants in the village, all within walking distance from the FrogS’House, we can especially recommend for its fantastic French gastronomy : La Table des Baous owned by French chef Sébastien Liprandi. Try also “le Bivouac” chez Claude. If you want to try the best organic pizza of the côte d’azur in the warmest atmosphere, go to meet Hugues and zazou at the pizzeria “le vieux four”, or to « Maï o Maï » for the delicious take away pizzas of Romain and Rafel. At last, all summer long, Le “Sainte Barbe” will also welcome you for a great diner on its opened terrasse with a great view over the coast.

The charming little streets of Saint Jeannet have inspired lots of famous artists : Matisse, Poussin or Picasso, but also Jacque Prevert and Tristant Tsara only to name a few.
Marc Chagall himself once fell in love with Saint Jeannet and its « Baou ».
